In our modern world, we often find ourselves caught in a relentless cycle of ‘Action with Intention’, driven by the need for validation and productivity. This constant striving has not only affected how we engage with the world around us but has also deeply impacted our inner selves and relationships. We’ve become so accustomed to seeking tangible outcomes for every action that we’ve lost touch with the simplicity and authenticity of being.

We have made a routine of pre-determining our thoughts and feelings about a situation even before it has occurred – leading to lower levels of fascination or satisfaction.

It’s time to break free from this cycle and rediscover the beauty of simply being in nature. Instead of mindlessly going through the motions, let’s pause and reconnect with the world around us. Here are some raw and natural ways to loosen the grip of the digital world and immerse ourselves in the wonder of nature:

  • Earth-ify your Senses: Kick off your shoes and feel the earth beneath your feet. Whether it’s grass, sand, or soil, let your toes sink into the ground and reconnect with the natural world. Take a moment to appreciate the sensation of being grounded, like roots reaching down into the earth. Allow yourself to be fully present in the moment, soaking in the sights, sounds, and textures of nature. Notice how nature asks for nothing more than your presence.
  • Simply Awaken: Instead of experiencing the world through digital screens and artificial sounds, awaken your senses to the beauty of nature. Run your hands over the rough bark of a tree, breathe in the scent of fresh air, and listen to the melody of rain patter. Reconnect your neural pathways with the natural world, stepping away from the artificial constructs projected by your mind’s eye.  Let nature be your guide as you rediscover the joy of sensory exploration.
  • Freedom Questioning: Ask yourself thought-provoking questions that challenge your assumptions and beliefs. Explore the nature of your own personality and authenticity. How authentic is my personality? Ask yourself things that you would like to learn about yourself. Question the ideas that make us human, and question your habits, fears and lessons learnt. Eventually, you’d be surprised to begin to learn the power of ‘non-thinking’ – it is when you really start to hear the world around and inside yourself.
  • Oil and Water: The two don’t mix, neither should your digital avatar or the real you. In a world dominated by digital avatars and online personas, strive to embody your true self in the physical world. Stop relying on your online incarnation to support the description of who you are and begin to embody more than what you have captured in real-life.

By incorporating these raw and natural practices into our daily lives, we can break free from the confines of the digital world and rediscover the profound beauty of nature. Let’s reclaim our authenticity and embrace the wonder of simply being alive.
